We celebrated our 10th Anniversary on Oct. 17 with a reception event held at Colorado State University surrounded by Otters, community members, friends and family! Together, we reflected on the past decade of impact we have been able to create together, while looking forward to what the future could look like if we continue to Ignite Tomorrow Today by investing in programs that inspire students to become entrepreneurs and philanthropists. The event culminated with the awarding of $320,000 in grants to support local education initiatives!
The $320,000 in grant awards went to school districts and youth-serving nonprofits to pave the way for future work, including Junior Achievement, Boy & Girls Clubs of Larimer County, Colorado State University Institute for Entrepreneurship, Thompson Education Foundation, The Success Foundation and Poway Unified School District. These grants will support innovative educational programs for students to learn about giving back and creating change.
“Entrepreneurship and philanthropy are authentic and genuine to the Otter Products story,” said OtterCares Executive Director, Linda Crum. “We want students to learn that their ideas matter and we want to work with innovative teachers who aspire to do education differently. Our mission is more than just an idea; it is a movement that has the power to transform.”
“Our greatest impact is never made alone,” shared Nancy Richardson during the event program. “We can do really great things alone, but together, collectively, we can move mountains.”
Thank you to everyone that joined us to celebrate such an important milestone in our journey to create impact. Here's to the next 10 years of OtteCares!
