OtterCares Ambassador Spotlight – Meet Taylor!

March 22, 2019

Name: Taylor

Department: Otter Relations

Why did you become an OtterCares Ambassador?: Service has always been a huge part of my life, I wanted to be a part of an organization that helped otters find what they are passionate about.

Who or what has influenced your volunteer work (why do you volunteer?): During my undergrad I had the opportunity to lead our volunteer organization on campus. I was able to connect my peers with opportunities to help our community. I loved seeing them fall in love with volunteering and the joy it can bring, it really changes people and I love how it shaped me into who I am today.

Describe your favorite volunteer activity (either one time or ongoing): I have always loved working with Habitat for Humanity! I love helping people in our own community have a place to call home. I really enjoy working outdoors any chance I get.

Why do you think the OtterCares purpose is important?: I think it is important because children are the future of our community. We need to support them and help them reach their full potential in any way we can, whether that be indirectly or directly.
