OtterCares Ambassador Spotlight – Meet Stephanie!

March 22, 2019

Name: Stephanie

Department: StratOp/IBP Planning

Why did you become an OtterCares Ambassador: I am very excited to be experiencing OtterCares alongside the amazing group of OtterCares Ambassadors and working together to inspire other Otters to give back in the ways they feel passionate.

Who or what has influenced your volunteer work (why do you volunteer?): My son influences everything I do. I love being a part of improving our community for him to grow and want to inspire a giving spirit in him.

Describe a volunteer activity you have been involved in that relates to the OtterCares purpose statement: Last year I had the opportunity to partner with a few other Otters as guest speakers in a classroom and talk about Otter and help guide them in a project team as they outlined and pitched a business idea.

Describe your favorite volunteer activity (either one time or ongoing): I really enjoyed participating with JA at Wellington Middle school, it was great being able to bring the class from start to finish on their journey to launch their own variety of Oogie’s popcorn.

Why do you think the OtterCares purpose is important?: OtterCares’ purpose is important because it allows us to connect to the future – the students we influence today will hopefully carry the mission forward in their lives and create a lasting culture of giving and innovation in our community.
