OtterCares Ambassador Spotlight – Meet Greg!

March 22, 2019

Name: Greg

Department: Product Team

Why did you become an OtterCares Ambassador: I became an ambassador because I believe in the mission of OtterCares and want to see its vision grow beyond Otter Products and the Front Range.

Who or what has influenced your volunteer work (why do you volunteer?):

I volunteer for many reasons, but in short, I volunteer to give back to the communities and environments that have played instrumental roles in my life. I believe in leaving things better than the way that I found them, and volunteering offers endless opportunities to do so.

Describe a volunteer activity you have been involved in that relates to the OtterCares purpose statement: I have volunteered with a lot of groups in the past, but I particularly enjoy the entrepreneurial events from business plan competitions to product ideation sessions as individuals are shown the opportunities that entrepreneurship provides. It’s always rewarding to see a student get engaged with building something they themselves get to create.

Describe your favorite volunteer activity (either one time or ongoing): My favorite volunteering activity is actually coaching water polo which has nothing to do with entrepreneurship, but it is one of my primary passions.

Why do you think the OtterCares purpose is important?: Education is the solution to almost every problem in life. The opportunities before these students is beyond exciting when I think of what students learning about entrepreneurship today will create tomorrow.  Often people just need a spark to be told that they can do something to actually do it; OtterCares is that spark for a student to create something impactful.
