As the Sales Manager for OtterBox’s education sales, Lisa works with schools regularly and supports the OtterCares purpose every day. She’s also an enthusiastic Ambassador who encourages others to get involved and give back! Read more below about why Lisa volunteers and some of her favorite volunteer activities!
Why did you become an OtterCares Ambassador?: I wanted to give back to my community and be a positive role model to help others.
Who or what has influenced your volunteer work?: Being a “Big Sister” in college had a profound effect on my life. I spent a little extra time with a young girl in need and it really influenced her in a life-changing way. We still keep in touch!
Describe a recent volunteer activity you have been involved in: Conducting Fossil Ridge High School Senior Exit Interviews. Students sit down with a member of the Fort Collins community and share their high school experiences and future plans. They present a portfolio with significant artifacts from their high school career and engage in guided conversations with a concerned adult. It is an opportunity to inspire and encourage their philanthropic and entrepreneurial aspirations for our future world.
What’s your favorite volunteer activity? Being a shopper assistant at Pack2School is so inspiring – the kids are so excited. Giving them the tools they need helps build confidence to be good students and engaged learners.
Why do you think the OtterCares purpose is important?: Encouraging young students to use their TIME, TALENT or TREASURES to be philanthropic and entrepreneurial can create a ripple that will impact generations to come and can change the world.
