On Friday, November 18, OtterBox and the OtterCares Foundation were recognized with the “2011 Outstanding Small Business” award from National Philanthropy Day in Colorado at a luncheon held in Denver, Colo. Nancy Richardson, President of OtterCares, accepted the award and thanked the OtterBox employees who are dedicated to volunteerism and philanthropy.
Through the work of OtterCares, employees participate in many volunteer projects including food drives, Habitat for Humanity Team Builds, Make a Difference Day and more. The foundation also offers monetary support through three grant funds named after OtterBox case series: the Impact Fund, Commuter Fund and Armor Fund.
The nomination was submitted by Maria Swall and Kathi Wright from Boys and Girls Clubs of Larimer County. In the nomination, Maria wrote “The Otter style of business and philanthropic leadership inspires many in the community, for a ripple effect that continues without end.”
