Working with dedicated, passionate and generous people is a pretty amazing feeling – at OtterCares, we’re lucky to have the opportunity to work with people like this every day at Otter Products and Blue Ocean! But when a determined few stand out from the bunch to help our Foundation achieve bigger goals and dreams, that makes all of difference in the world. We call them our OtterCares Ambassadors.
So much of what OtterCares is able to accomplish each year is thanks to the hard work and dedication of our OtterCares Ambassadors. These individuals volunteer their time to represent our Foundation within their departments at Otter Products and Blue Ocean Enterprises, helping to share our stories of impact, encourage their coworkers to get involved and proudly represent our company during volunteer efforts in our community.
This year, 70 OtterCares Ambassador represented every department at both Otter Products and Blue Ocean Enterprises! Acting as the eyes and ears of their peers, Ambassadors participated in monthly meetings, helped organize volunteer activities for their departments and were essential in helping to engage employees in our employee fundraising campaigns. Through their hard work and enthusiasm, we were able to achieve some AMAZING things this year:
- Nearly 13,000 hours volunteered (equivalent to over $304,000 going back into our communities)
- A whopping 86% of our employees volunteered in 2016
- Over $100,000 dollars raised during G3 Challenge that helped to fund 19 Innovation Stations in Northern Colorado and San Diego
- Over 1,000 Not-So-Ordinary Ornaments sold to help provide grants to schools in Northern Colorado.
We are so proud of the accomplishments of this amazing group of Otters! Thank you so much to our OtterCares Ambassadors who do so much for our Foundation each year! We are excited to see what we can accomplish together in 2017!
