Our Impact: Mission Spotlight
Big Hearts, Bright Futures
Gifted and Talented students in grades 3–5 chose three different causes, pitched to nonprofits, earned grants, and executed their own student-led service projects.
Students at Dunn Elementary proved that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big impact. Through Project Heart, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Gifted & Talented students identified causes they care about most—including helping animals, supporting reptile rescue efforts, and serving students in the school’s Autism program—and turned their compassion into meaningful action.
This inspiring spotlight showcases how student-led service projects can strengthen communities, build empathy, and empower young people to become changemakers. Watch as Dunn Elementary students work together to make a difference and demonstrate the true meaning of leadership, generosity, and heart.
These students remind us that when students are given the opportunity to lead with purpose, they can create positive change for people, animals, and their entire community.
