OtterCares Ambassador Spotlight – Meet Amber C!

March 14, 2019

Name: Amber C.

Department: Customer Service

Why did you become an OtterCares Ambassador?:

I became an OtterCares Ambassador because I like helping to fulfill the OtterCares mission by encouraging others and making it easy for them to find ways that they can enjoyably participate.

Who or what has influenced your volunteer work (why do you volunteer?):

I volunteer, because it’s a great way to not only help the community, but it’s a great way to get to know others. During college, I made most of my friends through volunteer work. At OtterBox, I love being able to engage with co-workers about causes that matter to them as well as volunteer with others!

Describe a volunteer activity you have been involved in that relates to the OtterCares purpose statement

For the first year of closed2open, I went to Olander Elementary to teach a classroom of children about philanthropy and how they could find ways to help others and give back to their communities. It was great to see the kids engaged with the topic and eager to share their ideas!

Describe your favorite volunteer activity (either one time or ongoing):

My favorite volunteer activity is trail clean up! I did this event throughout college with my friends. Last year, I decided to bring this event to my work family. We took a break from our day, enjoyed some Colorado sunshine, and collected 8 bags of garbage along the Poudre Trail. I can’t wait for us to do it again this year!

Why do you think the OtterCares purpose is important?

The mission of OtterCares is important, because it’s about developing and finding new ideas to make things better for future generations.
