The OtterCares Foundation would like to congratulate Tracey Winey and Dawn DuPriest, teachers at Preston Middle School in Fort Collins, Colo., for being selected as recipients of the 2016 Allen Distinguished Educators Award! These two incredible educators have be instrumental in blazing the trail in innovative education at their school. Through their hard work and dedication to innovative education, Tracey and Dawn are using STEM education to help students create lasting change through the Engineering Brightness program. This groundbreaking educational program connects schools in Canada, Uganda, the Dominican Republic and the United States where students collaborate and engineer 3D printed, sustainable lanterns and distributing them to people without reliable electricity worldwide.
